What we collect.

If you sign up for updates

We keep the email address and anything else you entered (name, club, city, timer), when you signed up, and the words you agreed to. We use it only to email you about dd-pits, and, if you ticked the second box, offers from dd-pits sponsors. Sponsors' offers are sent by us: we never give or sell your email to anyone. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all emails.

If you register your club in the app

The same as above, plus the app's random install ID, so we know a club is using it.

The app's daily install count

Once a day, dd-pits tells this website that an install is running: a random ID made on your computer, the dd-pits version, which timer it's connected to, the operating system, and how it was installed (Mac app, RotorHazard plugin or plain program). Nothing else: no names, no race data, no addresses are kept. It lets us show how many clubs use dd-pits. Turn it off in dd-pits' Settings, or start it with -no-usage-ping. dd-pits works the same either way, and works fully offline.

Visiting this website

The site counts visits itself: a page view, where the visit came from, and a visitor count made from a one-way code that changes every day. It also counts what's done on its pages: downloads, links followed, buttons pressed, forms sent, sections opened, and how much of each video is watched. These are kept as counts and a short list of recent actions (the time, the page and the action), never tied to you. Internet addresses are not stored. The site also uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects usage data as described in Google's policy; you can block it with Google's opt-out or any content blocker.

What sponsors see

Totals only: visitors, downloads, video plays, active installs and the number of sign-ups. Never names or emails.

Getting your details removed

Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or open an issue on GitHub and we'll delete your details.
